GREATER ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK

The Addo Elephant National Park offers the most amazing elephant viewing opportunities in the world. The park boasts an elephant population of over 450 elephants more than 400 Cape buffalo, 48 black Rhino and a vast collection of antelope, not forgetting the flightless dung beetle located within the park.

You can explore the park from the comfort of your own vehicle; with more than 75km of road to drive you will be sure to come across animals.

Addo Entrance Fee: R90 for local visitors and R380 (prices may vary)

  • Each game drive lasts approximately 2 hours. No refunds are given.
  • All guests entering the National Park should pay the daily conservation fee at the Main gate.
  • PLEASE NOTE: PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE
  • Confirm bookings 24 hours in advance
  • Please note that sunrise, sunset and night drive departure times vary according to season. It is important to check the current departure times with the game drive office when making a booking.
  • Children under the age of 6 years not allowed on these drives.
  • Check in at game drive office 30 minutes prior to departure of drive.
  • Game drives depart from main camp only. Guests staying in Spekboom Tented Camp cannot participate in sunrise; sunset or night drives as game area gates are closed.
  • Self-drive game viewing in guests owns vehicle is also available.

  • Morning and afternoon rides are two hours long and take place in the Nyathi area, home to the Big Five. The behaviors of certain Big Five species are monitored in this area and if necessary, trails will be moved to a botanical reserve in the Park. In this case, the horse trails will be discounted to R170 per person.
  • Riders need to have a moderate level of experience to ensure they can control horses within a big game area.
  • Book and pay for horse trails at the Game Drive Office.
  • Please report to stables at least 15 minutes before departure.
  • All horse trails are conducted by experienced guides on sure-footed, well-trained horses.
  • Riding hats are available for visitors’ use.
  • No children younger than 16 years may ride on the Addo Trail.
  • Please note: Departure times of Guided Horse Trails may change according to season and without notice. Kindly confirm the departure time with the Game Drive Office.

Addo Bush Palace is bordering the National Park and the main gate of the National Park is about 45 km from Addo Bush Palace.

SCHOTIA “THE LION GAME RESERVE”

DAY TRIP SIBUYA GAME RESERVE

Sibuya offers daily trips onto the reserve hosted by a professional guide. A leisurely cruise up the Kariega River is followed by a three hour game drive and a delicious picnic lunch on the banks of the river. Please ask Management for current rates.
